Fine Art Wedding Photojournalism defines CloudFace Photography - captured by Internationally renowned Documentary Photography, Dean Dampney AAIPP.

That's the formal two line summary. Here's the personal take:

THAT WAS THEN...I'm a former Professional Photojournalist (News Ltd), and Commercial Photographer. My work from this time has made the front pages of numerous mastheads including The Australian. I've represented some of the countries best Advertising Agencies, and shot campaigns for some prestigious clients.

THIS IS NOW....I've been shooting Weddings for over 10 years and have made it my sole line of work since 2007.

IN SO MANY WORDS....I'm based in Lake Tabourie (just south of Ulladulla) on the NSW South Coast. Where I live reflects my desire to; live simply, with my young family, and enjoy the pristine beauty of this coastline and environment.

REALLY....I'm into catching waves on alternative style surfboards (check out http://www.submerge.com.au - this is my hippie surfer blog thang). I'm a long time yoga practitioner who doesn't take himself too seriously. I'm usually semi bearded, bright eyed, and smiling.

Inwardly, I'm; a bit rebellious, an alternative thinker, interested, philosophical, romantic. I'm driven; to make a difference, grow wise and to give everything I can. Not to mention leaving a legacy of meaningful, poignant and beautiful photography.

PHOTOGRAPHICALLY it's all about you. People and how incredibly interesting we can be. Whether it be photographing weddings or daily life, people have always been my focus and in particular the magic moments that we all share.

CV Highlights

Eight critically acclaimed solo exhibitions of documentary fine art photography in some of Australia's premier institutions of photographic art. Heidi Maier, Art Gallery Guide Australia, say's "Dean Dampney clearly goes to extraordinary lengths to succeed in imbuing his images in nuance and spirit".

Selected as a Finalist or Semi Finalist every year since the inaugural year of Australia's richest photography prize, The Moran Contemporary Photography Prize. In 2012 I was Highly Commended.

Epson Canberra Wedding Photographer of the Year and Runner Up Commercial Photographer of the Year in my first year's membership with the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers (AIPP).

Won and placed highly in numerous Wedding Photojournalism Association (WPJA) and Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalism Associations' (AGWJA) contests, contested by the worlds best Wedding Photojournalists.

Silver and Silver with Distinction awards with the Epson Australian Professional Photography Awards for my Wedding Photojournalism.

Selected finalist for Reportage 2010- Australia’s leading showcase of international documentary photography.
