Check out that view. Well there's tons of good views, but specifically the wall size window view of the Clyde River beyond where Louise is getting ready for hers and Darren's Wedding. Looking up the river is amazing in itself as it's actually not a white noise mess of buckets of water falling out of the sky. All morning that's what it has been and the thought of getting married anywhere near that kind of weather sent me a mix of warfare fear and crazy abandon.
With the forecasts and oscillating rain squalls, rollercoasted plans and emotions between blustered marquees and surf club trenches for safety. There was a lot going on. I personally gathered my senses, found my gum boots, and stolen golf umbrella before sloshing out the door ready for anything.
So did I mention...."look at that view". Yeah unimpeded rich clarity, up that river, straight to the only slightly buffeted marquee, and down the aisle to a Ceremony and celebration that was better than a grand final win.
Lousie and Darren, took it all in their stride, and smiled and laughed like the legends that they are. With a smattering of toddlers doing weird shit, like driving cars, and drinking wine, the atmosphere was laced with that degree of lunacy that comes with the post apocalyptic. Adults a like carried onwards in fine form, and by all this witness' memory markers, this Wedding went unimpeded into the realm of awesomeness. Up the creek, paddles in both arms.
My warmest congrats to my awesome clients! Well done!
