I almost tripped over a kangaroo making my way to meet Millie and Tom. He was lying on his side in the morning sun, chewing on a blade of grass that tickled him on the side of his furry cheek between mouthfuls. I felt good about all that. Not the part where I almost tripped on him but the whole serenity department otherwise. From my stumble I looked up and saw through the towering gums, a gorgeous blue lake, a strip of golden white sand and then this vast deep and kind ocean staring back at me. What a place to get married.
North Durras means a lot to Millie and Tom, and now it means even more to me. It’s always been one of my favourite spots and now I’ve had the great joy to have photographed these awesome people tie the knot there, it’s even more special. The Celebrant did a great job - I loved that accent and all the nice things that she had to say. Everyone smiled continuously with the odd wiped tear from under the specs. It was cool and I loved being there.
I feel so grateful for the connections I share with my clients. And with Millie and Tom I felt like we’d been knocking about in parts like these for a lifetime already. They made me laugh a lot. That warm fuzzy kinda smiley laugh. I’m so glad they’re married to each other. And I’m so stoked that I got to be their Photographer.
With Love, Gratitude and Peace,
