Mardi and Mick got married in paradise. Green grass to the sandstone surrounded by azure blue lapping waves, cotton wool clouds hanging in the clear skies, and kangaroos munching out on grass everywhere you look. I’m sure I spotted a pair of dolphins too leaping for joy in the background. Murramarang Resort will always be stamped with the beauty and love that these guys represent. Check out this article to hear why it’s worth checking out. Everyone there celebrating with these guys stamped that in even more!
The Ceremony was so heartfelt. Conducted by a local friend and Celebrant Superstar Ebony Millard we all got to see and hear Mardi and Mick commit themselves completely to a life of loving devotion. It felt really special and was a testimony to what a great couple they are.
Often people consider that as a Wedding Photojournalist or Documentary Wedding Photographer that I don’t shoot portraits, but I do and I love this element of my art and craft. It’s different to shooting candidly but equally challenging to get beyond the preconceptions and create images that are artful and honest. Photographing Mardi and Mick and their awesome kids was really fun, and hopefully will serve as a legacy for them to look back on for generations to come.
Enter the Reception, to one of the best styled settings I’ve been amongst ever. It looked amazing. As did the food - how could I resist. Speeches brought tears of joy and heartfelt prose. Otherwise the atmosphere was perfect for a mingle and a laugh. It was such a great scene.
TJ the DJ got everyone moving on the dance floor later. It was such a healthy turn out. Often a couple of songs and there’s only a couple of stayers left but in this case by the time I headed home half an hour into everyone moving and grooving there were just as many people as there were for the first song.
My warmest congrats to this beautiful couple!
With Love and Gratitude,
